*WHILE EVERY EFFORT HAS BEEN MADE TO REMOVE SEEDS, THERE IS A CHANCE YOU MAY FIND SEEDS IN A FEW PODS*
The primary difference between Austrian and British poppy pods lies in their botanical origin and possibly the specific variety of poppy plant they come from. Austrian poppy pods may refer to those sourced from Papaver somniferum, commonly known as the opium poppy, while British poppy pods could refer to varieties grown in the UK. Additionally, differences in growing conditions, soil composition, and climate may affect the characteristics of the pods, such as size, color, and potency of any substances they contain. However, it’s important to note that both dry Austrian and dry British poppy pods do not contain opium alkaloids. The bags contain varying sizes ranging from small-large pods.

Having already bought the 1.5kg British pod pack, which is quite compact, I was pleasantly surprised that the 2kg seedless Austrian pack contains around three times the volume of pods. Fair enough for three times the price. These Austrian pods are a beautiful golden brown, each one has one or two small holes punched out when the seeds were removed, no mouldy pods or dampness, all perfectly crispy.
I hope they are back in stock before next year!
